REALLY interesting fact! Mrs. Lydia Child used Cranberries as an escharotic to burn away cancers.  "Cranberries, stewed, applied as a poultice frequently and perseveringly, are recommended by Indian doctors as a cure for cancer."

Energetics: sour, cooling and drying. The plant is very high in tannins.  Much of its used is based on the physical make-up in that it is very great source of flavonoids and is a wonderful anti-oxidant.  Used for a tissue state of excitation.  Mostly used as an urinary antiseptic to cure or prevent bacterial infections.

Specific indications: Common Cold, influenza, diarrhea, cystitis, candida, shingles, psoriasis, chicken pox
