Alchemilla vulgaris, common name Lady's Mantle, is a member of the rose family.  It was one of the most popular woundworts of the Middle Ages but in the Renaissance it was primarily used as a female medicine.
I have this plant in my herb garden. the dew on the leaves have the doctrine of signatures of Mercury. I have made apple cider vinegar tinctures of the leaves with dew collected first thing in the morning. I use it often with cow's with retained placentas and are off feed.
From a more TCM view, it clears Heat, esp Liver Fire, clears fire toxins, but is also a Yin tonic.

SPECIFIC INDICATIONS:
Energy - bitter, astringent, neutral
Meridians affected - spleen, kidneys
Properties - astringent, febrifuge
Use - loss of appetite, rheumatism, stomach ailments, diarrhea, enteritis
Precautions - since it can tonify the uterus, I have never used it in a pregnant cow

Pale anemic with prominent blue veins and moist skin; infections in deep tubes: ears, vagina, perforated eardrum, mouth sores and ulcers; specific in acute and epidemic diarrhea; diarrhea of relaxed intestines; strenghtens heart muscles, walls, atria; anal fistula; vaginitis. leucorrhea, yeast infections, cuts, flaps of skin hanging loose.  So the tissue type to be treated is relaxation.

CULPEPER:
Venus claims the herb as her own.  Ladies' Mantle is very proper for those wounds that have inflammations, and is very effectual to stay bleeding, vomitings, fluxes of all sorts, bruises by falls or otherwise, and helps ruptures...the distilled water..helps conception, and to retain the birth.  It is one of the most singular wound herbs...in all wounds inward and outward, to drink a decoction thereof , and wash the wounds therewith...which wonderfully dries up all humidity of the sores, and abates inflammations therein.  It quickly heals all green wounds, not suffering any corruption to remain behind, and cures all old sores, though fistulous and hollow.
WOOD:
"It lifts tissue and structures that have become bogged down. It is associated with relaxed tissue that need astringence. There may be prominent blue veins. The blood is usually more watery when the tissues are relaxed due to the outflow of fluids, so the skin may be pale and damp with prominent blue veins. "
