VBMA LISTSERV ARCHIVE
The VBMA Listserv Archive is an incredible educational resource, only available to VBMA members. Users may search the archives of ALL email discussions since the inception of the the list, which is growing in depth and breadth with every message posted to the list.
IMPORTANT: The Listserv Archives can only be perused after entering your unique username and password. Easy instructions are contained within the link if you are a first time user and need to create a username and password. If you have questions, email Jasmine Lyon, VBMA Executive Director.

LISTSERV RULES
Please be familiar with basic list rules:
1. You must have a signature at the end of your email message. This should include your name, email, and city/state at least. This is to facilitate member interactions.
2. You should review every message you send to make sure it's appropriate for everyone on the list to read. If it is only germane to the person you are replying to (for instance, you are just saying "thanks for the information", the other 250 members don't want to read that. It also takes up unnecessary space in our archives.
3. Please try to avoid using formatted mail - change it to simple text or rtf. Formatted mail isn't always read by everyone's computer and your message will appear as gibberish to those members.
4. We do not allow addresses that are set to send auto-replies. For example, if you use your practice address, and it sends an acknowledgment to potential clients telling them you will get back to them, that message goes to everyone who posts to the VBMA list. This can cause very complicated problems, or just annoy the person who gets that message. Rather than use an address that needs to offer an auto-reply, you'll need to get yourself a free gmail or yahoo address to use for your list mail.
5. Similar to auto-replies, if you are going to set your email to send a temporary vacation message, that's not allowed for the list either. Please set your self to NO MAIL during the time you will be away (instructions below).
LISTSERV OPTIONS
To change your listserv options, such as temporarily setting yourself to No Mail, or changing your messages from individual emails to a daily digest, you can either go to the web interface or do some of
these by email.
The web interface is:
http://listserv.uga.edu/archives/vbma.html
This is also where you can search the list archives.
You may need to set up a new password before managing your account. Just follow the instructions.
Commands by email:

LISTSERV ETIQUETTE SUGGESTIONS
Remember - the Listserv archives are designed to be a repository of information for VBMA members. If you have questions, especially case specific ones, please don't hesitate to ask them. If you're able to answer questions or have case information that you feel would be a valuable addition to the archives, please don't hesitate to respond and share.
