VBMA HERBAL WIKI

Compiled by Cynthia Lankeneau and designed to guide you on your quest for herbal knowledge, the VBMA Heral Wiki is ONLY available to you, our members. This is the perfect tool for those of you studying for the VBMA Certified Veterinary Herbalist Exam!

The VBMA Herbal Wiki is organized by common name in alphabetical order. Simply click on the first letter of the herb you're looking for, then scroll to locate it.  Click on the name of the herb, and the Wiki page will open in a new window/tab. Our Herbal Wiki entries include photos, information on parts used, active constituents, actions, indications, cautions, contraindications, herb/drug interactions, and dosage, as well as notes from herbalists and authors regarding conditions and usage. We're working on updating the Wiki pages to match our new site a bit at a time.

As new information regarding herbs and their usage surfaces frequently, the VBMA Herbal Wiki was designed with such a dynamic in mind.  Soon, we'll be incorporating Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine uses and formulas to herbs already on our list, and adding lots of Chinese herbs, courtesy of Phil Rogers and the amazing volunteers who are helping edit and organize his data. If you would like to help with this project, or have info, data, photos, etc. that you think would be a good fit for our Herbal Wiki, please email our Communications Coordinator.
